Artificial Intelligence has emerged as a mature transformative technology that is changing the way the world operates. In this session, drawing on her design thinking background, Catriona will share her thoughts on how Scotland can plan to be at the heart of this change.  The session will draw on current theories to paint some interesting possible futures with AI – hear why some people think we are living in a simulation?

Does Elon Musk want us to escape to Mars?  Will we resist AI or merge with it?  The session will conclude with insights on planning for a better future with AI - how we can leverage our strengths as a nation and what we need to do.
