Panel Session: Exploring Children's Rights and AI - Breaking News!
SUMMARY
The Alan Turing Institute and Children’s Parliament in collaboration with Scottish AI Alliance, have been engaging primary school children (aged 9 – 11) across Scotland to explore their knowledge, understanding and current perceptions of AI. In this session, Members of Children's Parliament (MCPs) who have travelled from four schools across Scotland will broadcast breaking news live on stage about their views, thoughts and findings on AI.
Come along to hear directly from the children as they reflect on what they have learnt over the last 7 months and what they want you to know about AI and children's rights, and hear from The Alan Turing Institute and Children’s Parliament how this work is informing research, policy and practice.
The Scottish AI Summit marks the end of Stage 1 of this project but it will continue, partnered with the Scottish AI Alliance, through to 2024. Delegates are invited to share their written questions and thoughts for the children on the feedback cards provided.
