Albert King is Chief Data Officer in The Scottish Government and leads the Data & Digital Identity Division: the centre of excellence for data in government. He is passionate about unlocking the power of data in Scotland focusing on trust, transparency, inclusion, innovation, and sustainability. Drawing on experience in digital and data across public and private sectors, he is responsible for delivering platforms that enable data and analytics, fostering data innovation and policy in data, identity and AI.

Albert is the Scottish Government’s responsible officer for the AI strategy programme.
