Session: Standardisation for Trustworthiness in AI: a sector perspective on how to deliver trustworthy AI

James is responsible for over 40 radiology and pathology AI projects within the iCAIRD programme, from early concept research to multi-site clinical evaluation.

He advises the Scottish Government in his role as Healthcare AI Lead and as part of Scotland’s Radiology AI Working Group, Pathology Network, Dermatology 25x25 AI Consortium, Regulatory Working Group, and national digital diagnostics advisory groups for NHS England and NHS Scotland.

He believes that technical and clinical expertise is combining to tackle major health challenges, and that Scotland offers a rich test bed where NHS, researchers and industry can combine to deliver AI solutions that improve the quality, efficiency and sustainability of healthcare.
