Karen is a Senior Analyst at Forecast, an Edinburgh-based data consultancy specialising in commercial decision tools and solutions; and Maintainer of the opendata.scot project, an open source community project which promotes the use of Open Data and currently lists the largest collection of Open Data in Scotland at 1600+ datasets and growing.

With over a decade of experience using data to solve organisational challenges and in building decision support systems, she often finds lessons to share across her commercial and open technology careers.

Karen graduated from the Robert Gordon University with a BA in Business Management and a MSc in Data Science, and continues to study a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics with the Open University.
