Talat Yaqoob

Talat Yaqoob is a consultant and campaigner working across social justice, anti-racism, women’s rights and intersectionality. Her work includes social research, policy development and public participation. Talat was previously director of Equate Scotland, the national organisation on the retention and progression of women in science, technology and engineering. She has worked in a range of roles across the third sector in Scotland including on mental health and education rights. She is an award-winning campaigner and writer, and was presented with the “Outstanding Women of Scotland” award by the Saltire Society in 2019 and in 2020 she was inducted as a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
